Coasters

This is such a cheap and easy gift - tile coasters! I've been giving them at wedding showers to go with a set of cups from the bride and groom's registry. This way the couple gets something they need/want and also something handmade/cute to go along with the practical gift.

I bought the tiles for less than 25 cents a piece at Floor & Decor. The stamp set and ink I got as a Christmas gift from my Mom. She bought them from our friend Lisa Vale who is a Stampin' Up demonstrator (and whose cute tile coaster idea I copied!).
I used a permanent ink called StazOn to stamp the outline and then used a water pen (light on the water) and different colored Stampin' Ink Spots to color in the flowers. Then I baked them in the oven at 350 for about 30 min to set the ink. After they cool, I added adhesive felt circles to the underside so they won't scratch a table.

Above is a set of coasters I made for myself while at Lisa's house using one of her stamp sets. I've been using the coasters for months and the ink hasn't even begun to run!
