More Aprons!

I've been so crafty this past month! Here are 3 more aprons from the book - The Perfect Apron:

This pattern is called Tutti Frutti and it is about the easiest apron pattern ever! I made 2 of these out of 1 yard of green paisley fabric for my friends Tara (housewarming present) and Jessie (wedding present) for about $7 each.

This pattern is called Domestic Diva and is for my friend Ali's wedding shower. I skipped out on the appliqués and used a dotted fabric in shades of yellow and then plain white for the background fabric. I am especially proud of how I got the pocket to match the fabric pattern almost perfectly! This one cost me about $10.

This pattern is called Petal Power and is for my friend Michelle as a wedding present. Made this one out of a red paisley and used black to trim it. Cost about $12 for this one, but I bought more black than I really needed.

Apron

I make such a mess when I cook that it finally dawned on me - that's what aprons are for! So I decided I needed to make one. This apron pattern is Simplicity 3949 and I made apron C. My mom (the expert seamstress) definitely had to help me with a couple parts. Especially the piecing of the two sections with the pockets on them. Sewing the corners to the middle section was quite a challenge!

I love the darts and the style of the skirt very much.

I also bought this apron book from JoAnne's last week by Rob Merrett titled: The Perfect Apron, so expect to see more aprons!
